5Natural Mat Mohair Mat  Jun 20, 2011
By StacyH
I'm having my first baby and wanted to get him all the best products I could find. I love the idea of this mattress and that it is completely natural - no harsh chemicals, plastics etc. It has no gross smell like so many plastic type items do and it feels comfortable. Haven't had the baby yet so I can't say how well he'll sleep (and I have nothing to compare it to as far as other mattresses), but my friend spent the night and her baby slept great on the mattress. It seems a little thinner than other mattresses and is about 1/4 smaller in width than a standard, but it still fits my standard size crib fine. I would buy it again.

4Quality baby mattress that's completely organic.  Dec 22, 2010
By SunShine
I looked at a lot of organic baby mattresses before purchasing this one. After much research, I found out that a lot of the popular brands, like Naturepedic, are not 100% organic. So it was going to be a Natural Mat. Between the Cocomat, Latex, and Mohair that this company offers, it seemed that the Mohair mat was the most firm after reading all the reviews. I couldn't find any local retail stores that carried this brand so I had to be pretty sure that I was going to make a big purchase like this. This mattress is very firm and well made. I know that I'll be using this for my second child. It fits perfectly in my standard sized crib (Sorelle Commuter Crib). But I have to take one star off because I noticed that the position my baby sleeps in, after only a week, has a very slight dip. I'm not expecting it to completely spring back to its shape, obviously because it isn't a spring mattress, but I don't want it to lose its shape over time. I wasn't expecting it to do this after only a week. I'm just hoping that it isn't permanently compressed like this, and frequent flipping and rotating of the mattress will help.

5Mohair Mat - Worth every penny.  Feb 20, 2009
By J. curl
I ordered the Mohair mat for my son's crib. After making it through the initial stages of babyhood, I thought it was time for him to have a cozier, more comfortable mattress. I was also looking for something without the nasty flame retardant chemicals so common in other mattresses. The Natural Mat company seems to really have their hearts in the right place when it comes to crib mattresses, and while they are a lot more expensive than most, it's worth it to me because my son spends more than half of every day in his crib.
