I just wanted to save money!!! May 06, 2010
By Autumn First let me say, I have been a user of Amazon for over 6 years. I base my purchases on 1. Reviews by consumers, 2. Amazon backing that they have the best customer service ever, and 3. PRICE/FREE SHIPPING. I have never purchased a single green product till I came across this product and discovered I could save more then my Sam's club. First it arrived in 1 day, second it is a powder not detergent. No left over suds ( no second cycle rinse). It cleans, big time. I have two boys 3 and 5. We are outside as much as possible. I garden and landscape while they live in mud and on the waterslide. We have a great combination of funk when we come in. First thing I noticed, no suds but brown water, REALLY, are we that nasty? Yes we are. I dried this load and added the same set towels to a previous washed ( in detergent) set same color. The first detergent set had softener and dryer sheets, They were hard and if you used 100% Egyptian cotton you know this makes the material hard to absorb water. My new powder was fuller and so soft with zero softener, I mainly just wanted to see what this stuff could do,. As a dirty yard woman with two dirty yard boys hands down this is a super plus for moms all over. Cost, shipping, quality, quantity, no need for softener and from Amazon A+.

Biokleen laundry powder fabulous in high efficiency front loader washers Jul 04, 2009

"penny pinching mom with allergy kids"
I have been using Biokleen Citrus Laundry Powder for about one year. It works very well in a high-efficiency front loading clothes washing machine. And I only need to use a tiny amount of powder to get clothes clean. The 10-lb box lasts me about 3 months and I typically do at least 5 loads of laundry each week. I like that it is simply packaged in a cardboard box so that I don't have to feel bad about throwing out or recycling the big heavy plastic bottles that liquid laundry detergent usually comes in. My family members have very sensitive skin and none of us have had any skin reactions to this laundry powder. I do still have to pretreat food stains if I want to be sure they will come out in the wash.

Perfect for HE washers, prevents smelly washer, gets odors out Nov 01, 2010
By me After using our brand new LG front loader for 2 months, it developed a horrible musty smell, as I'd feared after reading complaints of such problems on the internet! Our water is also extremely hard, up to 23 grains in the municipal test results.
I've never used petroleum-based laundry detergent, the smell of Tide makes me sick, and I don't like to use petrochemicals for environmental reasons. I also have very sensitive skin. Previously I was using various brands of natural liquid detergent (I've used Ecos, Method, and Seventh Generation). I noticed with these detergents that some of our workout clothes were not coming out smelling fresh: not to be too gross but the underarm area still smelled sweaty, and the musty smell from the washer was starting to affect the clothes. How awful to have a brand new washer that makes your clothes smell dirtier rather than cleaner!
So I did some internet searches and found recommendations to use only powdered laundry detergent and no fabric softener in the HE washers to avoid the smell. I was skeptical - thinking that the liquid detergents we used did not have these petrochemicals accused of creating the residue that smells. But, I guess they still contain enough oils to make a rancid/musty smell because sure enough, switching to this detergent greatly diminished the musty smell after the first 2 loads.
The clothes come out MUCH cleaner and odor-free compared to the other detergents I tried in this washer. With our very hard water, I had also tried washing with and without Calgon which seemed to make no difference. BUt after washing once with Biokleen our gym shirts came out fresh and clean smelling!
With water as hard as ours is, there is no way laundry will come out of the wash "soft and fluffy" no matter what detergent you use. Instead of liquid softener, we now use Method cloths in our dryer, and everything feels nice and clean and pretty soft. We have not had any skin irritation from the detergent and it leaves no scent, only clean fresh clothes. I am sure if you have softer water than we do (99% of you probably do) that your results will be even better!

Good stuff and lasts an amazingly long time Jan 24, 2010
By Mainiac I bought this with subscribe and save in September of 2008 and have to keep canceling the extra shipments because I've still used only two boxes in all that time.
This is laundry for just two of us (3 or 4 loads a week), but you need so little, is part of the thing. The first box was with my old washer, a top-loader, which needed just 3 tablespoons. When the top-loader conked and I had to get a new machine, I was totally psyched to discover that this also worked with the front-loader! The front loader needs only 2 tablespoons. (There is an included scoop, but it's so much smaller than what comes with mainstream detergents.)
I like this better than grocery store detergents, because it's not petroleum based and also because I like the subtle citrus scent. (And I don't like the standard heavily scented detergents.) And I have to admit that I also like not having to lug detergent home from the store all the time.
(I've never had problems with it dissolving. Though with the top-loader, I always let some water fill before putting in the detergent, sloshing it around, and then adding the clothes. I know most people don't do this, but this is always the way I used my top-loader.)

Great Product, Great Price Jan 14, 2010
By CFB I really like this laundry detergent. 3/4 scoop really is all it takes for a full load in a 3 Cu.Ft. top loading washer. The case price here was great.
