Its a great idea... But the type of rubber or whatever they made the teether out of attracts hair and fuzz really easily. So if you are a mom, grandma, or aunt that is a germ aphobe or the person your getting it for is, this is SO not for you.

My son and I love this - it does exactly what the product description says. It looks pretty good and my 8-month old boy loves to mouth and chew on this... the actual teether bit AND whatever bit of cord he manages to grab on to as well. So far it has been a huge help in getting us through church, dining out and a number of flights with minimal fussing. We mostly use it with me wearing it as a necklace, but it also makes a fun 'batting' toy if you dangle it in front of him or fasten it over his car seat handle (supervised of course).
I only gave this 3* for being a 'fun toy' and 'eductaional' because it's not really a toy or designed to be fun (!) and I'm not sure how educational you could say a teether was - these ratings are not at all meant negatively - it's just that what we're being asked to rate is somewhat irrelevant to the product itself.
Definitely a great buy and I've said on many occasions how very glad I was to have it. Not quite a 'must-have' item but almost!

I like this alot, but it is a little less quality than I expected. The clasp is plastic and kindof weird, and it had a plastic smell when I first took it out. Other than that, I love it. The pendant is a nice rubber like material that seems great for a teething baby, its very cute, and will be so convenient.

I bought black b/c it would go with the most things I figured. My baby loves it! It's pretty long for me - i'm 5'4" so i had to shorten it. But...warning! The black looks terrible as it picks up every fuzz and lint and just doesnt look shiny and pretty like this picture. I wouldve gone with a patterned one if i had known. nothing helps it look good either ... :(

I received this as a gift off my registry. My first baby broke my gold necklace chewing on it, so when I saw this in a magazine ad, I thought it would be a great sub for my second baby. And it's great, she's almost 10mo now and still enjoys chewing on it, although not as much as she did a few months ago. I gave it 4 stars i/o 5 b/c the knot that holds the string to the plastic clasp comes apart often enough to annoy me, and I'd hate to lose the necklace.
