Small Dec 16, 2009
By ddtlsr4X I was disappointed in this puzzle. It is a lot smaller than I expected, and the pieces don't seem like very good quality. It arrived with chipped paint in several places, and the wood itself has several nicks and imperfections. It just doesn't look very "clean" overall. I bought another similar puzzle (the dogs one)at the same time and that one has the same issues.

Broke on first day Jan 07, 2010

I was really excited for my kids to play with this toy, but unfortunately the pieces are cut so that they only fit together one way (i.e. the 6 comes into the 7 only from the top and not the bottom) and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to which pieces must go in from the top and which from the bottom (I think this is due to a defect in manufacturing NOT a learning feature of the toy). This creates frustration b/c the whole thing falls apart very easily when moved. It is made of rubberwood which is supposedly good for the environment, but our toy proved to be brittle and broke on the very first day of play.
Bright and colorful...fun to put together Feb 27, 2011
By Deanna Quinn Fun to put together but doesn't stay together well...I wish it was a little tighter fit so it stays together when I stand it up but I really do like it and it serves as decor in my daughter's play room.

Not the most amazing toy ever, but my girls seem to like it. It is a little smaller than I expected, but not too small. My only complaint is you can't clearly tell 6 from 9 when the pieces are jumbled, so I might put a line under 6 (though I am not sure a 3 year old will get that). Pieces seem sturdy, no problems with breaking here (and they're been tossed about and carried all over the house). Cute little toy to help little ones with counting. Planning to get one of the letter versions when my girls are a little older.
