3My 6 month old didn't need it...  Nov 30, 2009
By Amber J. Allen "fungirldoc"
I ended up sending this infant seat back because it did not fit well into the chair. At the highest adjusted seat position it was a tight squeeze and at the lower wrung it was not secured into position well and using the tray with it was difficult. It seemed like it would be more trouble than it was worth. My little guy has loved his Keekaroo high chair even without the infant seat. Initially, (at age 6 months) he would just lean over onto the tray when he got too tired to sit up. At 8 months he sits in his chair and happily baby talks to me the entire time I am making supper. The infant seat is necessary if you do not plan on using a tray with your Keekaroo chair.

4Great product, but only necessary due to poor restraint harness on highchair  Feb 26, 2011
By Wendy
So we got a Keekaroo secondhand but we weren't impressed with the 3-point harness as it just didn't seem like it would keep baby in highchair (knowing that in a few months they start to climb out) and since it doesn't go all the way round baby there was the fear that baby might fall out the back (probably impossible as baby is quite chubby, but I just didn't like putting my 6 month old on the wooden seat alone with a bad harness...)

So we bought this for my 7 month old and she loves it. She's happy to sit in it for ages and I really like the bit between the legs which keep her in place. In order for the insert to be properly positioned (with the back of it slotted in behind the back of the Keekaroo high chair), the seat base can only be at the one height and my daughter is already having to squeeze her chubby legs under the attached tray - might be fine if you don't use the tray and just have the chair up at a table, but we're not quite at that stage yet..

We bought the blue version because it was cheaper, and I was a bit worried that it was going to be really bright and lurid, but it's actually pretty nice - it's that nice turquoise colour that goes nicely with bright pink, so it's very suitable for our girls actually....and did I mention that it was cheaper than the other colours??!

My 3 year old also loves this insert, but because it's a bit of a climb up and over the side of it, I don't really let her get into it - but she does fit, which assures me that baby will continue to fit in it for a good while yet and we won't have to get rid of it after just a couple of months...

All in all, a well-designed product that does what it says on the tin. I'd have been annoyed if I'd paid full price for a new Keekaroo highchair though and then felt the need to buy this too though...

5Insert is perfect for infants - must have for younger babies  Sep 10, 2011
By Aussie Dabbler
We have the keekaroo high chair and this insert has been wonders. We used it for her from 5 months until 11 months. I don't see how you could have an infant sit comfortably and steadily without it. We also got the cushion back. Again, I dont see how an infant could be comfortable without both. I highly recommend this until they are tall enough to sit without the support. It also wipes clean really easily. The material feels rubbery but has a smooth comfortable finish. We have it in red, looks awesome too!

5Best Ever  Feb 21, 2011

I had owned many high chairs/boosters and decided to try the Keekaroo chair for my fourth. I also bought the infant insert in red as he was about 7 months at the time. Now at over the age of 2, he still fits in it! I don't know about your kids, but mine are extremely wiggly at the dinner table and this seat is molded so baby/toddler can't be wiggly yet they are very comfortable. It really prevents slouching and can be used way longer than you think unless you have an unusually large child. Totally worth it!

5Must have for little babys  Mar 16, 2010

We got it together with the high chair for our then 4 1/2 months old. At that time it definetivly provided more support for sitting (and that's all she wanted to do from 4 months on). We probably used it longer than needed (almost up to 1 year of age), but she still liked it. However, eventually we removed it and turned the seat plate around so that the velcro could stay where it is for later re-use.
