5Great toy - misleading description  Apr 14, 2012
By Ellen Rutherford
as another reviewer has noted, this is not a 3-in-1 toy - it's 2 balls and a rope you throw away. that said, these are now the ONLY balls my labrador retriever will play with - no more tennis or other hard balls. He loves the squishiness and the whistling sound it makes when you throw it. I just wish you could choose the colors, or that they'd make them brighter - they're easily lost to human eyes (but not to dog noses?) in the brush.

3False advertising  Feb 23, 2012
By J. Stubbs "jbstubbs"
OK so this is a good product, and it would get 5 stars from me if not for the weird false advertising. 3-toys-in-1??? How do you figure that?

I mean, my dog loves these balls (they're minty fresh and I guess that's the one pleasant scent that dogs enjoy). They're bouncy, they make a cool faint whistling noise when you throw them (if I can just barely hear it, it must sound awesome to a dog), and they're flexible but don't get torn up. But like...I feel like they're trying to fool the customer into buying the product. It's two balls and a piece of thin climbing line. So, they say, one ball to throw on the rope (why?), which doesn't make sense because the balls immediately fall off the rope when you first give them to the dog. Then they say the second ball is to use in a ball-launcher (um, I don't have one, so that "second toy" doesn't count for me), and then they say it's a third ball for your dog to do whatever with. What?

Just be straightforward. It's two balls. And a piece of thin rope that you'll immediately lose anyway. So yeah, it's two balls. Good balls. Your dog will enjoy them. And you can do stuff with them. Hell, I could bounce, roll, throw hard, toss, or hide a ball with my dog, but that doesn't make it 5 toys.

5Thank you Planet Dog  Jan 12, 2012
By Erik C
My dachshund absolutely loves these "Planet Dog" Recycled balls. They are about the size of a tennis ball, so i don't have to worry about him swallowing one. These balls are made out of recycled rubber and i've found they vary in consistency (some are "thicker" than others) but that doesn't mean they vary in quality.

One HUGE plus with these, there are NO SQEAKERS in them!! (My dreams have been answered!) This is great if you have an active dog in a small apartment, as his constant squeezing won't aggrevate the neighbors (or you!).

I don't let my dachshund play with the rope, instead I take them to work and practice tying new types of knots during downtime.
