My favorite second set of arms. :) Jul 08, 2009

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/REI6S8RJB63UQ This product has really helped me get things done around the house. Our daughter sits in this "babysitter" while I load the dishwasher, fold clothes, take a shower (she is right outside of the glass door so I can see her) and get her bottles ready. She also sits in it (as we have yet to get a high chair) at the dinner table with my husband and I when we eat dinner. She is on the floor, in the "babysitter" and not on the table. I have taken the cover off and washed it several times, and it still looks AMAZING! We also purchased the toy bar and she loves to spin the little attached toys. We purchased this when she was 12 weeks old and she is currently 18 weeks old and still loves sitting in it.

Great seat and great for infant reflux Feb 17, 2009
By Big Al I was searching for a seat we could use for our son with moderate/severe reflux. We've been keeping him in an extra car seat but its a nuisance and not safe unless we strap him in. Most seats/swings seem to make him curve too much and sit back. This seat is great. The most upright position is sooo upright, he just loves to have conversations and kick his legs in it (couldn't do in the car seat). And if he gets sleep, I can easily lay him back in it and he'll still be at a nice angle for his reflux issues. The fabric is soft and easily washable as I've already found out. Wish it was about 50 bucks cheaper because that's what I see as the value (I got mine on sale on Amazon for 120) but I am very pleased with this purchase. It's also nice that you can just slide them in and out without having to fuss at all with straps or snaps. Great product.

FANTASTIC! Jan 30, 2009
By yummymummytobe I've actually owned both the Baby Sitter 1-2-3 and the new Balance and the Balance is soooo much easier to adjust. I seriously fought with the other one to adjust (maybe this is just my problem) but the new one is so easy to adjust and wont wake the baby with a loud clicking noise and shaking. It's also better looking (IMO). The only thing the old one has is the great toy bar that came with it, but the new toy bar is nice too. I'm extremely picky but I love this bouncer. You will too! Also, they have incredible customer service, which is rare now.

Baby loves it Feb 13, 2011
By G. Herzberg I saw this on my Amazon rec's and was a little doubtful about it because of the price. After watching some youtube videos of babies screaming in delight on it, I decided to take the plunge. Our daughter is only two months old, so she can't muster enough kicking force to rock herself (I don't think she even understand cause and effect yet), but putting her in the chair and rocking it with our feet has been a great way to calm her down when she's upset and brings out the biggest smiles. We've left it in the "sleep" position without the body restraint attached, but will probably start fastening the harness when she gets a little older and graduates to the upper two positions.
To try and teach her how to kick operate the chair, I've been placing my forearm underneath her feet then letting go to help her push off -- she loves this game. Today after playing the kick game for about 10 minutes, I stopped to eat some lunch and when I looked back, she had the saddest look on her face and I saw a lonely tear rolling down her cheek. Our daughter hasn't produced enough tears to actually come out of her eyes, not from immunizations, heel sticks, or having 8 hour diapers... until now.
Pros: 1) No automatic parts, so it stops when your baby stops. We were worried our daughter would get addicted to the vibrating chair. 2) Folds up nice and flat, easy to carry and it's light. 3) Proportional response to how much the baby is moving, I like this more than a swing. 4) Baby friggin loves it!
Cons 1) I think it's a little overpriced, so if you can find it somewhere for less than one hundred it's a little easier to stomach if the baby doesn't like it. 2) The toy bar accessory is really expensive. We had the Tiny Love Sunny Stroller Arch (less than half the price of the bjorn toybar) for her car seat and it attaches to the Bjorn too. When we first put it on and bounced, our daughter's eyes went wide in amazement at all the dangling bits swinging around.

Fabulous chair/bouncer May 08, 2009

"Discerning Shopper"
This chair/bouncer is REALLY expensive which is the only reason why it is 4/5 stars and not 5.
Now that we've dealt with the price, I will go on to say that it's worth the money. I also have a much cheaper Fisher Price bouncer (the one with vibration) which my 3.5 month old son doesn't look as comfortable in. I think it's because with the Fisher Price bouncer, his legs stick out at an almost 90 degree angle from his body.
With the Babybjorn however, he's actually sitting with his bottom supporting his weight, with his legs hanging down as if he were in a real chair. I really like the fact that he kicks his legs and can be more active in the Bjorn. He can also sit more upright in the Bjorn, allowing him to see more around him.
Theoretically, there are three settings: play, rest and sleep, but the difference in angle isn't that big. I have been able to change the recline angle easily while he's in the chair.
We are taking a long road trip this summer and because the chair folds flat, we will be definitely be taking it with us when we go.
