Goodbye gas Jan 27, 2009 We just bought these on advice from a lactation consultant. Our son is a preemie who was bottle fed first and we are now switching him to the breast. He will take about any bottle but suffers enormous gas. From the start with the Born Free, there was an immediate difference in his comfort level. The number of parts to assemble and the price are annoying but for his comfort, its worth it.
Great bottles...no complaints. Jan 19, 2009 I love these bottles. My baby is breast and bottle feed. He has no problem going between the two. Also, even though these bottles have additional parts to clean, they are easier to clean than the Dr. Browns. You don't need any special brushes. My son actually uses both, but I only use the Dr. Brown's when I'm too tired (and lazy) to clean the Born Free. The Dr. Brown's do leak if the disc isn't used during travel. These do not unless you have a bad vent. They are a little pricier than the normal bottles, but it's worth it if you have a baby with bad gas.
Awesome bottles! Dec 23, 2008 I really like this set of bottles. We use them all except for the sippy cup because my son is still too little to use it. Get the born free sterilizer as well. You won't regret it.
Great Product Aug 19, 2008 This BPA free (like all Born Free products) bottle set works really well for our newborn. He doesn't seem to swallow air while using this. No leaks and we like it a lot. More importantly our baby seems to like it. At least he hasn't told us otherwise.

Leaks like crazy and annoying extra pieces Jul 23, 2008 These bottles, which are obviously selling well because of the Bisphenol-A issues, leak like crazy. All you have to do is tip the bottle sideways and the milk comes gushing out like crazy. Makes a huge and annoying sticky mess. My advice, if you must absolutely have these, is to use the Avent nipples on these bottles. They fit and they don't leak at all, even upside-down. The silicone nipple is not implicated in the Bisphenol problems. The Born Free bottles also have a silicone gasket and a plastic insert, making cleaning and filling the bottles very frustrating and unnecessarily complex. I am hoping someone else comes up with a better BSA-free bottle because these are just not working for me.
