DVD is great, disc is not so much Aug 12, 2010 I love the DVD, you definitely get a workout, but i don't like the blow-up disc, at all. it's hard to inflate, you don't know how much or little air to add to it, & it seems that by the end of the workout all the air has escaped the disc (maybe that says more about how big my butt is rather than the poor quality of the equipment?)
the band is OK, i like that i can tighten it up if i need more resistance.
i am keeping the set just for the DVD, Tanya is a great instructor, her cues are impeccable & i feel like i worked out by the end of the 3 sets.

Great workout tool Jan 17, 2010 This is a great workout tool to keep in your living room. I use it just to practice my balance or to get a quick leg or ab workout while I watch tv. The DVD is pretty good too when added to a cardio workout. Would highly recommend this product.

Excellent Nov 27, 2009 Material for the balance disc is heavy-duty and appears durable. Included syringe-type pump is well made and easy to use. Inflates in about a couple of minutes. Resistance cable is well made, and comfortable -- the presence of the crepe-like covering I thought was strange but the way the cable is used against the surface of the body prevents the burn you might get with contracting latex/rubber. The included media, which runs about an hour, is very well composed - the color and video quality are excellent, and the woman demonstrating the program, which is divided into upper and lower body workout, is an excellent instructor. Almost worth the price for the exercise video itself. The person I got this for was very satisfied. If you want to cheat a bit with the balance disc, leave it slightly deflated and insert a halved-up sock or two underneath - this reduces the effort to maintain balance until skill improves - just make sure the disc surrounds the sock so there is full circumferential friction or the disc may slip.

good for rehab Jul 21, 2009 I went to a physical therapist who also does athletic training to get recommendations for exercise that would work with my spinal issues. I've got c5-c7 fused and also have an occasional lower back flare up. He gave me some things to avoid (including sit-ups/crunches) and stipulated that building my core was key. He had a Bosu ball that he recommended and that is $100 or so. I found this kit at Target and figured I could always return it. I did it on Saturday for about a 1/2 hour and am still feeling tight today. I couldn't believe how much it worked my abs without it seeming to be abdominal work. I agree though that Gaiam should have provided better instruction about the amount of air to fill the ball to.
