Description:

Totally Green Heavy Duty Hydrophobic Car Wash. G-WASH™ Heavy Duty Hydrophpobic Car Wash is a highly concentrated cleaner/degreaser which uses the power of nanotechnology and American grown base oils to tackle the most difficult cleaning job. G-WASH™ is a hydrophobic solution that causes water to "bead up" and roll off, leaving NO SPOTS. It is not a soap or detergent or petroleum solvent but a blend of natural plant based products. G-WASH™ penetrates into dirt and oils, then breaks them into billions of little particles that constantly repel each other. This makes it impossible for them to stick back together and form spots on your cars surface. G-WASH™ even removes dirt from your wash cloth allowing it to last 10-15 times longer. G-WASH™ is the “GREEN ALTERNATIVE” for ordinary and heavy duty cleaning jobs. Because G-WASH™ is not a soap or detergent or petroleum solvent but a blend of natural plant based products, it is safe to wash your car in your street or driveway. G-WASH™ will not harm the environment by traveling into our waterways like other car wash products do. G-WASH™.…satisfaction guaranteed! G-WASH™ bottles are 100% recyclable and the labels are printed with soy ink on biodegradable paper.

Features:
  • Hydrophobic rinsing action causes water to bead up and roll off the surface leaving a long lasting spotless shine

  • Dissolves and repels dirt, even in the bucket and washcloth/mitt

  • Not a soap, detergent or petroleum solvent, but a natural blend that's safe to use in driveways without runoff concerns

  • Superior Performance and Ultimate Biodegradable

4Nice Product  May 21, 2008
By Scoop
Bought some of this along with tire shine and glass cleaner. I used to use the Mr. Clean Auto Dry system. This works as good as Mr. Clean, only it doesn't suds up as much (I'm not sure that more suds means something cleans better). The only odd things I noticed are that the wash water forms hexagonal shapes when applied to windows, and the wash rag stayed alomst completely white. When I use the Mr. Clean system the rag turns black.

Nontheless, my black car was clean and it was fairly easy to wash off most dirt and grime. I did have to use elbow grease on the bugs that were stuck, but I have yet to find a wash that makes it easy to remove baked on bug splatter.

Update - I would now give this product 5 stars as I have found that it does NOT leave any spots on my car, even on 100 + degree days!

5Who needs suds?  Jun 05, 2008

Green Earth Technologies 01212 Car Wash 16 oz
So I heard that it's questionable cause it doesn't suds... so I bought it. : P It apparently actually DOES NOT suds very well, but that clearly means nothing. There's assuredly no SLS (Sodium laurel sulfate) in it, because that stuff's not so good... and is otherwise made of animal and plant parts... Don't remember the last time my veggie wash caused my tomatoes to suds either. Point is: It's good, and don't be taken aback by the lack of suds. I'd hate to see an amazing company with an amazing mission get shafted because consumers "like to see suds". It works, and well. Try it!

5Works just like good car soap should - only it's good for you!  May 20, 2008
By GreenMaterialism
I found this at my local car accessory place, and decided to give it (as well as a couple of their other products) a go. I'm got a black Subaru Impreza, which is parked on the street (no driveway) and rarely gets washed, so it can acquire a good amount of dirt.

I'll agree that the stuff ours like water - it is not viscous at all, so I was worried that it might not be "soapy" enough. Once the water hit it my fears abated - this stuff suds up great, even with COLD water! My previous natural car washing soap would only work with warm water, so this is way better!

It worked just as well as it should - it cleaned the car splendidly. And, I didn't have to worry about the suds splashing in my eyes or my dog lapping it up - since it's not harmful in any way. Even in the direct sun, the car looks almost new now! I'm very pleased, and am certain that this is the only car wash for me - as least for the foreseeable future. I can't see why anyone would buy a normal carwash soap when this stuff works so well and is nearly perfect in terms of the environment. I mean heck, the bottle is 100% recycles and recyclable, even the label is printed on recycled paper with soy ink. Crazy - and the stuff is cheaper than some other car washing soaps. Wow, very pleased indeed.

The only question I have is how well will it work on by boat? Even though it says "car" wash on the bottle, I plan to attack my boat with it this weekend. I can't think of a better soap to be rinsing directly into a river which provides drinking water. We'll see how it goes!

5Works Better Than Expected  May 17, 2008
By Bernard Bolisig
Like any new eco-friendly product, I always have some skepticism until I actually try it. So I got my hands on the Green Earth Technologies car wash (among other G.E.T. products) and found an opportunity to use it - today! With a beautiful, sunny 70-degree morning, I figured the setting is just right to see how this car wash performed on my dirty 2007 Lexus GS350. Since it's black and relatively expensive, this might be a good test bed for my fellow novice detailers with black cars.

My first impression upon opening the bottle was: "where's that eco-friendly, bleachy smell I was expecting?" So I pour it into my bucket while trying to inhale as much fragrance as possible, but to no avail. I mean this stuff is virtually odorless. For some, that's ideal. But for me, I like stuff that smells good: after all, the majority of the car washes in my garage is Meguiar's product.

My second observation was that this is stuff has a really low viscosity. You pour it, and you think you are pouring green mouthwash. So knowing how well other "thicker" car washes get super-sudsy, my standards are a little high. I then take my hose and begin to fill my bucket with water. I soon find that my super-sudsy expectations are being met. Honestly, I don't know if the amount of suds really dictates the quality of your car wash. I just personally like it so it's easier for me to see where I've ran my wash mitt.

That's pretty much it in terms of the actual car washing. I followed my usual car wash routine (wash mitt wiping, rinse, repeat, and dry) and was pleasantly surprised with the results. Since I'm in the Pacific Northwest, I'm sure I'll see how it holds up after the next rainy day.

One thing I'd like to point out is that I have sensitive skin. And after the wash, I rinsed my hands with water and found that there's no funky residue that some other car washes or degreasers leave behind. And as you can imagine, this car was did not leave any smell on my hands. So I guess having it odorless is a plus.

I hope you found my review helpful. For today, I'm going to do something ironic: I'm going to drive around and waste a little gas to show off how well this eco-friendly product cleaned my Lexus!

5Superb product  Jul 11, 2008
By B. Watkins
Not only did this clean my car it also cleaned the rag and the bucket I used!!! I used it on my jetski and was able to remove some mold from my seats that was sun baked-on for 10 years old that I could not remove in the past using various products. I also used it to remove oil that has built up over the years on the inside my jetski. Used non-diluted Car Wash on my porcelain sink with amazing results; I haven't seen my sink this clean since I purchased my house. Not recommended for car windows...use the Green Earth Technologies glass cleaner instead.
