water it repels Mar 15, 2011
By P. Karpenko This substance does repel water. Miracles are not to be expected, but water on the windshield and windows beads quite noticeably. Compared to RainX, GET repellent is about equally effective, remarkably more expensive and longer lasting. The latter two properties more or less balance each other.
A few things are to be remembered: first, the glass must be cleaned thoroughly before the application, any other repellent remaining on the glass will prevent binding of this one to the glass and unpleasant film residue will appear on the surface, so don't clean the glass with "Invisible Glass" or other cleaners that have water repellent added; second, do not overspray, for what goes into the towel is wasted; third, rub it in well, wait a little and wipe thoroughly with a dry towel (basically, follow the instructions on the label.) Application takes less effort than application of RainX, but rubbing and wiping are still necessary. Fourth, avoid white kitchen paper towels, use the blue shop towels instead because kitchen towels often have softening agents in the paper, and those agents are basically fats, and fat leaves streaks on the glass and affects performance of any water repellent.
This repellent sticks to plastics, which is a great benefit for those who ride. RainX doesn't stick to face shields and motorcycle windshields, this thing does. The effect on plastics is not as great as on the glass, but it is there.

Much easier to apply than Rain-X Mar 25, 2009
By R. V. Hamilton I used the Green Earth rain repellent on both of my cars, and the first thing I noticed was how much easier it was to apply and remove the haze than it is to apply Rain-X. My immediate thought was, well, it probably doesn't last as lone, and I was right. Rain-X usually lasts between 2weeks (rainy times) to 2 months (summer). My first application of Green Earth was starting to show decreased repellency after 1 week in light rain conditions. However, since it applies so easy, I was done re-doing the windshield in 5 minutes, and half of that was cleaning. When the green aspects are factored in, I believe I will totally convert to Green Earth. I just purchased their tire dressing, and oder products, and will review them also as soon as I have an opinion.

Works well. Like Rain-X, but non-toxic. Go "Green" Jul 08, 2008
By Dirk "Duke" Richter Does what rain-x does. Couldn't say if it's better or worse, but I like that it is "GREEN".
