 We love vanilla milk. May 27, 2010
This milk can be kept unrefrigerated and is easy to take anywhere. Our kids love it and it is a better nutritional choice than juice.

Horizon is a company our family loves and trust. We wouldn't go without on a trip or on our way to school.

 One major flaw; working mothers beware! Dec 01, 2009
I wish to here express my belief, held in complete and utter honesty, that these milks, while good, may be had at too expensive a price. As it stands the 18-pack is the far better bargain. Working single mothers, a group in which I am unable to count myself, are these days at a disadvantage financially, information that comes as no surprise to anyone following the news. (See: Teasury Secretary Tim Geithner's nursemaid scandal.) And so I consider myself a protector of these innocent victims, or at least a man standing on the street corner shouting dire warnings and predictions of imminent economic collapse to passersby.
As has been said already, the 18-pack provides the better bargain. Working single mothers lack the funds to properly insure their children are taken care of, and so they despair in constant search of affordable milks and other necessities, such as toothbrushes and cornmeal. I am appalled at Horizon's insensitivity toward our less fortunate citizens and their children, no doubt caked in filth from lack of soap and showers. Shame on you, Horizon! More milks at better prices, this I demand!

Organic but Horizon has been cited for factory farming Aug 12, 2009
Organic milk is a good choice for green lunchboxes. However, if you're concerned with sustainability and the humane treatment of animals, please be aware that Horizon has been cited for factory farming practices. Horizon farms 4,000 cows (very large) and has refused to cooperate with the Cornucopia Institute's review of organic dairies; the company is considered "ethically deficient."

Personally I've started buying Organic Valley's milk boxes instead of Horizon. Organic Valley is rate 4/Excellent in the CI review. Here's their organic vanilla milk - they also offer strawberry, chocolate, and plain.

 Sugar bomb!!! Same amount of sugar as a 12 oz. Coke!!! Aug 04, 2009
Check out the sugar content before you buy! 27 grams/box - the same amount that's in a 12 oz. can of Coke! This is ridiculously high for something that you think is going to be healthy!
