A huge hit with kids! Aug 25, 2010
I bought this as a gift for a 4 year old girl, and she loves it!! The ice cream scooper in particular is a fun feature. You can teach counting and colors with this toy. Most of all it's just fun to play with!

My grandchildren, ages 2,4 and 6 all enjoy this play set very much. A little piece on the scoop keeps popping off, but so far it's easy to put back and has not broken. Overall, the set seems fairly durable and hopefully will last a long time.

My 2 1/2 daughter plays with this toy every day! I love it because I can see her using her imagination every time she picks it up! Its durable and so cute! I also have twin 1-year-old boys who love playing with it too! I need to buy a second one because the three of them fight over the cones constantly! I am very pleased with all the Melissa and Doug products and am starting to stock up on them for my girl's 3rd birthday.

The toy is a true hit! My son is 2 1/2 and loves to make pretend ice cream cones even more than he likes to eat real ice cream cones! Well...just about. He does not want to leave the house sometimes so that he can continue to play with this toy. The items are very well made and sturdy. All of the M&D toys have been a huge hit with him. They provide hours of fun-no exaggeration!

I love the Melissa and Doug products. To me they are the kind of toys you hang on to and pass on to the next generation...and yes, I think they'll last that long. I have always preferred the wood to plastic--reminiscent of "the olden days"--but with the added ingenuity of the magnets and velcro---Play and creating is so much fun...for my three year old, and as you can tell--me too. Even her teenage sisters have been caught playing (which is a good thing when there is such a huge age-difference...brings them together!). We're huge ice-cream fans and well, this is just the greatest! The magnetic scoop works amazing and we love playing "ice cream shop" --Make mine a 4-dip please! The box they come in is wood...and works well for storing. It's a keeper! Sorry nieces, I don't think I can pass this on when my little one is done.
