lots of fun for kids of all ages Feb 27, 2010
my daughter received this as a gift at 18 mos. and it's already a favorite toy. The family we received this from has girls 4 & 6 and apparently it's still one of their favorite toys as well. It's easy to stack the ice cream on the cones and the magnets that hold the scoops on are just genius. My daughter has some trouble using the magnetic scooper, but I know she'll get the hang of it when she gets a bit older. Regardless, the cones are fun to play with on their own.

This toy was everything I expected it to be. I love how the cones stick together. Not a hard stick but just enough to keep them together if upright. My kids have dropped them a few times but nothing broke because it's made of wood. This toy is holding up well. The one plastic part is the ice cream scooper the handle is wooden but the spoon part is not. The platic though is very sturdy. My kids are 5 and 3.5 and they love it. They like to schoop the ice cream with the scooper and then release it. They also like to stack the cones.

We purchased this for our daughter's second birthday. She loves pretend food and playing in her kitchen. All of the Melissa & Doug wooden food toys are favorites that we have but the ice cream parlor set is a favorite. It is well made, creative and fun. It helps create the ultimate in pretend play. The ice cream scoops actually stick to the cone through a magnet and don't fall off easily. The scoops can also be set in a bowl which our daughter does. There are not a bunch of small pieces and the set is easy to keep together. It is a toy we will have forever. Highly recommend for any child from ages 2-8.

I got this for my great-granddaughter for Christmas and it was her favorite toy. She makes ice cream for her Momm everyday. She loves it.

The 2-3yos in my family really enjoy playing with this set, stacking them up and sharing them. I think any child who likes play food and toy kitchens will like this. It is a bit expensive considering how few pieces you get (4 scoops, 2 cones and 2 scoops), but it is very solidly made. I am very happy with this purchase.
