Love them Aug 31, 2010 I originally bought these at Whole Foods and love them. They've lasted a little over a year and have now cracked. I'm ordering more. I never serve my kids food that is hot enough to melt the plates - so have not had the problem as some other reviewers. My daughters love the compartments and I love that there are no pictures of cartoon characters on them to get in the way of eating.

Good plates, but others are better Mar 13, 2010 These are good plates and I like that they are made of corn. However, I wish there were three sections rather than just two. Also, the size of the sections could be better. The larger section is good size, but the smaller section is too small, especially in the shape it is. The curves and corners work to your disadvantage when you are trying to scrape runny food together and get it onto a spoon quickly. I like the three section Sassy plates much better. These plates do work fine for finger foods at snack time.

They melt! Oct 16, 2009 They are light weight and eco friendly. But they melt with hot water. I wash them by hand and they start to melt with hot water. So I don't find it usable for hot food. May be for cool cereals and cool food may be ok.

Just as decribed! Jul 27, 2009 Unfortunately these CANNOT be washed in dishwasher...but this is the price you must pay for BPA free and they are so easy to wash I feel that it is WELL worth it!

Non-toxic, cheerful color, perfect size for toddlers Jul 02, 2009 The pros: Cheerful color, very lightweight, environmentally safe, perfect size for toddlers. They travel well (being so lightweight) and don't have any odd smells or anything. They are durable enough for everyday use.
The cons: So lighweight that they are easily slipped off tables by toddlers that chose to do so.
Note: They are not dishwasher or microwave safe. Don't put hot food in them! I put hot food in to one of the bowls to let it cool off before giving to my toddler, and the bowl immadiately began to get soft. I promptly removed the hot food, ran the bowl under cold water, and it was fine (retained it's shape and is still perfectly usable).
Overall: I would recommend these to friends, though I do wish they thricker and had a bit more weight. Try the spoons and forks (smae brand) - they are GREAT!
