Numi Organic Tea Aged Earl Grey, Full Leaf Black Tea in Teabags, 18-Count Box (Pack of 6)

This product is currently out of stock
Description:

Earl Grey is one of the most popular teas, yet remains mysteriously beckoning. As the story goes, Charles Earl Grey, a 19th century British Prime Minister, was gifted this scented tea in gratitude for saving the life of a Chinese man. The secret to its lingering aroma is the pear shaped bergamot orange, called the The Fragrant One. Most Earl Greys utilize bergamot oils or flavorings. Numi's special, organic Earl Grey is oil-free-using a unique method of aging this Italian bergamot fruit with malty Sonitpur Assam black tea. When brewed, it imparts an exquisite red-orange hue that calls to mind dawn's finest moments. Balanced and stunning, we've recreated this timeless classic. 5Bergamot Lovers' Tea  Aug 23, 2006
By O. Brown "Ms. O. Khannah-Brown"

If you love bergamot (as I do) then this is your tea. Numi Tea is all high quality, and this aged Earl Grey is no exception. It is a strong, fine tea, and the bergamot is the star.

This tea is certified organic and contains just Organic Assam Black Tea TGFOP Grade 1 (Oxidized Camellia Sinensis) scented with organic Italian Bergamot Fruit (Citrus Bergamia). It is also kosher.

On the box, the manufacturer says it better than I ever could: "Numi's special Earl Grey is oil-free, using a unique method of aging premium Italian bergamot fruit with malty Assam black tea. When brewed, it imparts an exquisite red-orange hue that calls to mind dawn's finest moments. Balanced and stunning, we've recreated this timeless classic."

The price is perfect, a big savings over single boxes. If you like Earl Grey tea, get it---you won't be sorry.

5Best Earl Grey Out There  Aug 09, 2007
By Jean A. Feller
If you enjoy Earl Grey that doesn't taste like someone added a bottle of perfume to it, then you should try this. Made with fresh bergamot from Italy, it is not only beneficial to your health, it tastes great! I order twelve boxes at a time and drink it every day.

5Best Tea Ever!  Aug 27, 2008
By JC in JC "JLC"
I've been an iced tea drinker my whole life and finally found what I consider to be the best tea ever. Used Starbuck's iced tea blend for a while, but it wasn't nearly as good as this. This flowery, peppery, authentic-tea-tasting aged bergamot makes a beautiful and delicious glass of tea. My recipe: Pour 1 qt. boiling water over four bags; let steep 5 minutes. Pour into 1 qt. chilled water. Shake. Refrigerate.

This is a great tea, and very economical when buying bulk from Amazon. I'm very happy with it.

2where's the bergamot flavor?  Sep 02, 2010
By A "A"
I love earl gray for it's deep color and strong lingering taste. This is SOOOO mild compared to other earl grays I have tried. All the Numi teas that I have tasted are rather weak, but since usually "aged" means deeper flavors, I thought I would give it a try. All I could taste was a trace of Assam (and I used a small cup for the tasting). If you are looking for a deep bergamot experience, this one is NOT for you.
