Loved the mop but it broke in 3 months Jun 21, 2007

I love the look of the mop and the cleaning cloth. The cleaning solution smelled good, no chemical smell, but it did leave the floors a bit sticky, I have a toddler, she would often fall after I cleaned the floors as the solution was sticky. The handel and the bottom of the mop broke after 3 months of use. The idea for the product is good, but the solution and the mop both need work. I will probably buy it again if they improve the product. Hate to give it 2 starts, but I am disappointed.

It looks great, of course - it's Method! But does it work? Not really. Now I LOVE the wood for good products, who can beat that great almond smell? The ginger-lemon cleaner smells great as well. Here's the bad part. Once you get it together, put the microfiber cloth on, & start mopping a wood floor - the cloth bunches up, badly. It would be better if it somehow wrapped around it or attached with a clip or something. It just bunches up & you get a good workout & some good swearing in trying to get it to stay attached. Then just give up & mop by hand. Not worth the $. Very, very disappointed & I'm a huge Method fan.

I was so excited about this mop. Finally a mop were I could machine wash the heads instead of throwing them away. Unfortunately this mop is garbage. I've gone through THREE yes THREE omops. The first one broke the 2nd time i used it. The second one broke when my roomate used it (3rd or 4th time, she had already ordered one when i got home)and the third one broke today. They just break really really easily. The mop is not designed to scrub a floor. It's designed to leisure pass your mop over your floor and no more. While your doing tha they work but if you have more than just dust on your floor and need to scrub inevitably the head just snaps off. And now I'm out the cost of three of these things!

I have one of the wood floor kits at home and one all-floor kit for the office. O Mop All Floor Kit

These things are great! I don't know what the problem is with everyone else reviewing these, but I haven't had a single problem. No bunching of the head, nothing breaking, just clean floors!

I have some really gross floors and they get it all. At the office, we have some *really* baked in crap on the floor. It came right up with a little bit of elbow grease. And despite my tough approach, the mop held up quite well. At home, I've got original hard wood floors from the 1940's, including some random gashes and potential catch points in the floor. But for whatever reason, the O Mop has no problem with these. It just slides along and leaves things clean.

The environmental benefits are also immense. I threw the box in the backyard and it was nearly gone after a few rains. Everything biodegrades, which is terrific. More companies should be using these kinds of boxes! I'd pay a buck extra for something I know I can use to feed the Earth.

And the almond scent. Oh, the almond scent! I love it. I want to drink it. I want to put it on toast and eat it. I want to bath with it. It just drives me wild! Makes me want to clean my floors. In fact, I think I'm going to do that right now...

I agree with other reviewers...Method has great products but this one is disappointing...the microfiber pad bunches up and its hard to move the mop back and forth. The smell, both almond for the wood and lemon-ginger, are great, but again this product definitely is not worth the money. I am thinking if it can be returned to Target even if it is used?
