 I'm afraid it's not tough enough... Jun 03, 2010
I had to give it three stars because it lasted more than 5 minutes... and I have to say that for most dogs this will work, just not mine. It made it just about 10 minutes and one end was chewed off... at a half hour we had to throw it in the trash. (along with all the little pieces) I have to say he absolutely LOVED this thing... oh the guilt we felt when we made him part with all the leftover pieces. We'll have to stick to the extreme kong (the black one)... that usually lasts a good month or so. (he's a costly little bugger!) He's about 70 lbs of pure muscle... some sort of american bulldog mix. Give this toy a shot. I can see where it would certainly be tough enough for most dogs... ours is just... well, special ;o)

I have a 9 month old pit bull mix who chews through nearly everything and this football has lasted weeks and he is still interested in it!
The white "laces" came off relatively quickly, but beside that, it is still totally intact (no holes, etc).
To keep him occupied for even longer, I put large biscuits and treats inside. At first it seemed like it would be impossible for him to get them out, but he soon figured it out and it keeps him engaged for hours. This is by far his favorite toy.
I will definitely be buying more Planet Dog items in the future.

My black lab absolutely loves this toy. Its the first thing she grabs when we're going out to play. The laces only lasted about a week before she pulled those off, but the rest of the toy is incredibly tough. The first one we had for about a year, then she lost it in the river, so I had to get another one. Worth the investment! Be careful though, it can get really slobbery!

My yellow lab loves this football! When I first took it out of the box, I was struck by it's strong minty smell. I didn't realize it would smell. Didn't make my dog's breath all minty so I'm not sure what the point is but it's a nice smell. He plays with it all the time and it's still intact. I'd definately recommend it!

I bought this as a gift for my parents golden retriever who chews everything to pieces. I am happy to say that his one has lasted she has not been able to destroy it, so this toy is fantastic!
