Works great! Aug 18, 2011
By Tommy O'D It's a toothbrush, as advertised. I've had mine for a few months now, and they hold up well. The replaceable feature is nice, and it generally feels better than a normal, cheaper brush. You get what you pay for. If you enjoy brushing your teeth, it might be worth the money for you.

Great eco-friendly product Apr 28, 2011
By luky4leafclovr We have been using this toothbrush for a week now and LOVE it. I can never imagine going back to the hard plastic toothbrushes. The handle is very comfortable, and can be switched to accommodate a lefty or righty. The bristles are amazing, they are so gentle and I do not feel like I am damaging my gums while brushing, and still feel like my teeth are just as clean. The best part, the handle is made of recycled materials and the plastic head is BPA and phalate free made from renewable plastic. When changing, there is a much less impact on recycling it since it is a greatly reduced amount compared to the common toothbrush found in shopping centers.

My favorite manual toothbrush Feb 11, 2011

I cannot think of a single negative for this product. Really, nothing. I've seen the Radius toothbrushes at a local health food store for some time and during our last visit my wife and I bought some. She chose one of the Scuba style brushes and I chose this one (with the wood & resin handle). I could not believe how clean my teeth and mouth felt after using it for the first time. Much more efficient and gentle than most standard toothbrushes I've used. It has a smaller bristle head than the Scuba and Original Radius brushes, but it is large and wider than most standard brushes. I have two of sonic toothbrushes as well, and the Source head dwarfs them by comparison. It is a perfect fit for me and the broad head makes it easy to clean the tooth surfaces and brush my tongue efficiently. It is still small enough to fit in all the nooks and crannies of my mouth too. The larger Scuba or Original Source brushes are too bulky for that, even though they clean quite efficiently and have more ergonomic handles. Neither do they have the ability to change the orientation of the handle to suit either righties or lefties like the Source does, and are their brush heads aren't replaceable. I like the fact that when I've worn out a brush head, I can replace it with another with less waste to the environment. The handle design of the Source is well engineered, it fits quite comfortably in my palm and makes brushing less of a chore.
Unless something dramatically superior comes along, I think I've found a toothbrush that I'm going to stick with. I'll keep using my electric toothbrush, but for those days that I want to use a manual, I'll reach for my Radius Source brush.
Best toothbrush I've ever used Jun 06, 2011
By C. G. King I've always hated changing toothbrushes because the 'break in' period is unpleasant. Eventually, I get used to the new one, or it softens to a comfortable level, or I try another brand hoping I'll like it better. I bought this one at the health food store because the handle looked comfortable and for the novelty, not really expecting much. Well, was I surprised! I loved it immediately on first use and have been using this type ever since. The larger head is especially effective and the soft bristles don't irritate my gums. The handle is very comfortable to hold and the head can be attached for right or left-handed use.
Because the head is clear, it's easy to see if a food particle has lodged between the bristles, which helps me keep it clean. I never gave to thought to my toothbrush harboring bacteria and germs before, but now realize that's quite possible. I don't know that using this toothbrush is why I have fewer and less severe colds, but I suppose it's reasonable to assume a clean dry toothbrush is helpful. I alternate between two of these so each has a chance to be thoroughly dry before the next use.
Having the extra head included means I'm far more likely to switch to a new one when I should, and I do because it's so comfortable to use immediately. If you're overwhelmed with the millions of toothbrush choices in the grocery store and have never really found one that meets all your needs, do try this one. You may find, like I did, that this style is ideal. I'm so happy to have found it on Amazon because the health food store didn't have any at last visit. I'll buy here in the future because I like the 3-pack idea and will always have a backup to switch to when needed. Highly recommended.
Best toothbrush I ever owned Dec 21, 2010
By rrr My dentist recommended very soft bristles as best for gums. After reading rave reviews of a different model of Radius toothbrush I decided to give this one a try because I really like the idea of replaceable brush heads. I was skeptical of the large head, but it took very little time to get used to it and now I would not trade it for anything else. It is amazingly effective. The bristles are in smaller groups more tightly grouped then the Oral B toothbrushes I used for years, and it is definite improvement. My teeth feel really clean after using it and I can reach everywhere right down to the gum line. I had my first checkup recently since I started using it and my dentist was very impressed. He even switched me to a 9 month schedule from a 6 month schedule. Of course the toothbrush can't do everything; flossing is important too.
By the way, I have both the wood handle and the flax and I personally think the flax looks nicer. The wood one looks a bit dull and there's no visible grain. Also, each toothbrush comes with two heads so it will last a very long time and you can buy more replacement heads when those wear out.
