My skin doesn't deal well with most deodorants. Chalky antiperspirants irritate my skin the moment they're applied, and even Speedstick-style deodorant causes a rash after a few weeks of use. This deodorant, however, can be used non-stop with no irritation at all.
I see several reviews from people saying that it didn't control odor for them, and I don't think those people are lying. However, just as different electric razors work better or worse with different guys' beards, I imagine that different deodorants work better or worse with different guys' skin chemistry. As for myself, I've never had an issue with Tom's controlling odor all day long.
My only gripe here is the price. Usually you buy in bulk to get a better deal, but this 6-pack still comes out to over five dollars per stick. However, I can find this deodorant at my local Target for just over three dollars per stick. Maybe this could be your best option if you live in a rural area and can't find it anywhere else, but the price seems a bit high to me.

This deodorant will keep you odor-free all day long! It contains hops extract to combat odor-causing bacteria. It's important to note; however, that it will not stop you from sweating! It will only stop you from stinking! I use baby powder to combat the sweat. The combination works great!

This is the only deodorant that I have found that works for me, even in the 130 degree heat in Iraq. I am in the infantry and believe me I sweat a lot because of my job, never had any problems and will continue using this product for as long as it is available.

I have sensitive skin so I was looking for a natural deodorant. Unfortunately, this deodorant stopped working after 2-3 hours and I found out because someone else noticed which was embarrassing. I was not working out at the time but just standing on the bus. Don't waste your money.

I have been using this product for several years and I cannot believe that I used something else in the past. My white shirts do not have yellow stains under armpits. My skin does not break out in rash. And, most importantly, my olfactory system is not subjected to an awful smell carried by most over the counter deodorants.
For the folks who complain about the effectiveness of the product: This deodorant does not have aluminum and it will not stop you from sweating. For some this is a deal breaker, but I don't mind showering every day (and especially after activities that cause perspiration).
Finally, this product is really cheap to comparable alternatives. Anthony's Logistics and Men Science have products that cost anywhere from $14 to $17 for a single stick. I have found that Tom's of Maine does a great job for a fraction of that price!
