Terrific natural soap Nov 07, 2007
By Mahlanie S. Love this soap! With a baby around the house, we wash our hands a lot, but have been concerned about all the chemicals in regular liquid soaps. For a while we tried diluted Dr Bronner's, but it was way too drying and kept spurting out of the soap container at odd angles. Tom's of Maine has a nice smooth dispensing action out of the container, really is unscented, lathers up nicely, and rinses off well (while avoiding the soap scum sensation that Dr Bronner's left). The moisturizing isn't over the top, but definitely my hands are much less dried out using this soap. My only concern is that it's not available in bulk quantities (can only be purchased in the 10-oz pump -- don't think our local recycling is up to recycling these plastic bottles). So glad I found this soap!

Great Hand Soap without Toxic Ingredients Mar 05, 2009
By Laura Guenthner If you are looking for a hand soap that is healthier for you and for the environment, Tom's of Maine Unscented is a winner! I like that this soap dispenses smoothly and lathers just like a "traditional" hand soap. It is paraben-free...though I'm not sure about pthalates. Small pump size is a drawback. I've never found any hand soap that really moisturizes, and this one doesn't make my hands feel moisturized either, but at least they don't feel dried out. Great alternative to the synthetic products out there, if you can give up some of the appealing scents you've gotten hooked on!

Moisturizing! Feb 27, 2009
By Denise Great product, super for sensitive skin, holds moisture long after washing...only complaint: THEY SHOULD OFFER A LARGE REFILL size! The small jars are not too eco-friendly..
No more expensive than Softsoap! Feb 24, 2009
By Douglas Reding This soap has taken care of my overly dry hands issue in a matter of *days*. I seem to have a problem with regular hand soap drying out my hands. I've always had to slather on moisturizer 2 or 3 times a day on my hands and still had a problem with dry hands, especially on my knuckles and cuticles. No longer! I bought one bottle of this on sale to see if it would help and it exceeded all my expectations. Now I anticipate being a lifelong user.
I bought this to try even though it was so expensive compared to Softsoap and other "cheap" hand soaps, thinking that if it helped, it would be worth paying 5 times more for hand soap. So how can I say this is as cheap as Softsoap? SIMPLE! I was *very* pleasantly surprised and pleased to see that to get the same amount of lather using this soap probably requires 80% less liquid than Softsoap. So, doing the math, this soap is really on par cost wise with Softsoap and all the other "cheap" liquid soaps when you consider how little you need. Each bottle should last as long as several bottles of "cheap" soap (making the cheap soap, not so cheap). With that in mind, even people who don't have a problem with dry hands should use this stuff since it's really no more expensive and it's much better for your skin. OUTSTANDING product!!
Best liquid soap Jan 12, 2009
By A. M. Sudderth This soap is great for people that wash hands a lot of live in cold climates - it doesn't dry out skin like other soaps do.
