Vegan Organic Kosher Choice Jan 05, 2008

Vegan. Organic. Kosher. Bright, pleasant vanilla flavor note. Made with organic dates, organic almonds, organic coconut, organic walnuts, organic cocoa, and organic vanilla. Cocoa flavor is quite subdued, so not the best for anyone looking for a stronger chocolate flavor. Labeled "Vegan" on front of package. Kosher "D" from processing on shared equipment. 190 Kcal and 3g of protein per bar. This review is out there for those for whom this makes a difference. See all of my reviews for more great choices. all-natural and yummy! Feb 07, 2008
By LK I just had one of these for the first time today and I must say that it was sooo good. I try to stay away from baked goods such as cookies and cake, so I often eat fruit and nut bars as dessert replacements. I choose the ones that are all-natural and that are sweetened with dates or other fruits instead of honey, maple syrup, agave, etc. Larabars have so far helped with my cravings in that they are sweet and chewy, but they still taste like fruits and nuts no matter if it's the cinnamon roll or ginger snap variety.
This bar, on the other hand, makes me think of a real chocolate brownie (mind you, it's been a while since I've had a one). It's got the perfect amount of vanilla, and I love the texture. The dates do not overpower the flavor of the entire bar, but add the appropriate amount of sweetness.
These are a little pricey, but it's worth it if you have cravings for unhealthy treats and are trying to stick to a diet.
I just wanted to add that I am used to eating weird, bland, healthy food. I really liked this product, but my indulgent fiance hated it.

Fresh taste in a shelf stable product Feb 23, 2008

Most food item that are 'banana' have that cloying artificial taste. This dense chewy bar has a mild but natural banana flavor with all kinds of good things thrown in. The wrapper is substantial enough to not get tattered when tossed in a handbag. It is so satisfying that you might only want half....of course I have never had that happen. I can't wait to try Pistachio, I have had a Gogi one, delicious!

Vegan. Organic. Kosher. Yummy banana nut 'bread' flavor in date-based bar form. Sweet, delightful banana flavor with plentiful nut pieces mixed in. Very high quality. Wonderful breakfast treat with a cup of your favorite organic coffee! Made only with organic dates, organic bananas, and organic almonds. Kosher "D" from processing on shared equipment. 180 Kcal and 3g of protein per bar. Also really like Weil By Nature's Path Organic Chocolada Walnut Pure Fruit And Nut Bars, 1.6 Ounce Bars (Pack of 16) and Weil By Nature's Path Organic Chia Razz Pure Fruit And Nut Bars, 1.6 Ounce Bars (Pack of 16). It's not exactly a Kit-Kat bar, but it really isn't that bad Feb 16, 2008

I ordered these hoping that they would be just as good as a chocolate bar. Well, what can I say, it tastes just like what mushing all the listed ingredients together should taste like. I wish it were a bit sweeter. It really tastes better than other similar energy/health/breakfast bars but, alas, a Cadberry chocolate bunny it is not. Yet again, my arteries are smiling today.
